Born To Run 2011: A FUNd-RACING Event, November 30

Michelle Estuar’s passion to run has led her to form a team of volunteers to help her organize her thanksgiving birthday run dubbed Born To Run 2011: A FUNd-RACING Event, which is slated to happen on November 30, Wednesday, a date considered to be a holiday,  from 5AM to 10AM, at Philsports Arena, or formerly known as ULTRA (short for University of Life Training and Recreation Arena).

The race includes a 400-meter dash for children, 5K, and 10K categories. For a change, REGISTRATION FEES are waived.  “For once, I want to let the runners have a day off from paying fees and yet enjoy a not-so-sosyal but comfortable race,” said Michelle.  However, she’s just asking runners to give a minimum of P100 (or, any amount they are willing to give) as donation to Tuloy Foundation.

Tuloy Foundation, Inc. is a non-government, not-for-profit organization registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission in 1996 and licensed and accredited by the Department of Social Welfare and Development to “provide residential care services for children and youth”. It was founded in 1993 by Fr. Marciano “Rocky”G. Evangelista of the Salesians of Don Bosco. Their mission is to provide a center of excellence in the rehabilitation of street children though a comprehensive program of caring, healing and teaching.

So if you live near Pasig and wanted to run and help at the same time, then this fun run is for you.

I wish Michelle and her team of volunteers  more power!
