Bike to Light, 30 Nov. 2011

Join the lighting project of the MyShelter Foundation (MF)!

On November 30, MF hopes to achieve a world record of 10,000 solar bulbs to be installed around Metro Manila.  To top it off, its Liter of Light program will be presented during the United Nations Climate Change Conference to be held in Durban South Africa.  This is to create awareness how our beautiful country, Philippines, is lighting up communities using community built green lighting.

Deliver 10,000 Bottle Lights to Filipino Homes

Join hundreds of bikers to help bring 10,000 solar bottle bulbs from Camp Aguinaldo to the historical Pinaglabanan Shrine, where they will be distributed amongst volunteers and installed in 30 communities.

Be part of the documentary that will be shot on this day which snippets will be shown in Durban South Aftrica on December 6, 2011 on the Climate Change Convention where Liter of Light is invited to speak to 500 world leaders ! 6AM       Registration opens. Participants to pick up bottle bulb, t-shirt and messenger bag from designated area.

7AM        Program starts

7:45AM   Deployment of bikers

9AM    Estimated arrival at San Juan Symbolic turnover of lights to community  representatives

Halloween Fun Run CDO, 28 Oct. 2011

The running community is truly alive in Cagayan De Oro City (CDO)!
Calling all Cagayanon runners, both elites and enthusiasts, to join the upcoming trick or treat fun run. And wear your best costume for the event.
Your support will go a long, long way since a part of the registration fee will go to the Isang Litrong Liwanag (1 Liter of Light) project of the MyShelter Foundation.   
 
Truly, the popularity of running as a sport in the country has crossed the seas all the way to the south and is spreading like wildfire.
