This year, the Run for the Pasig River will be part of Mga Kuwento ng Kasiyahan: The Grand Kapamilya Weekend, an event celebrating ABS-CBN’s 60th anniversary on television. It is also one of the running events in One Run, One Philippines, which also features four other locations—Cebu, Davao, Bacolod, and Los Angeles.

There will be water stations along the route, but no paper or plastic cups to minimize waste production for the event. Participants should bring their own water bottles.
The 10.06.2013 Run for the Pasig River will take place on 6 October 2013 at the  Quezon Memorial Circle. Participants of the run’s main event – 3KM/5KM Morning Madness – will assemble along Elliptical Road before running down Commonwealth Avenue and finishing the run at the Quezon Memorial Circle. The starting time for the run is at 6:00AM.

The registration fee for the run is priced at PHP 300 for regular participants and PHP 150 for students. Participants can sign up through their group’s designated Run for the Pasig River representatives (e.g., Office of Student Affairs, NSTP Coordinator, Human Resources Department) or register in one of the event’s official retail outlets.  Each race kit contains a race bib, information sheet and a BayaNiJuan keychain. After getting the race kit, participants should activate their race bibs online at After the event, they can go back to the website and download their certificate of participation.
During the event, runners are encouraged to bring their own water bottles to minimize waste. Water refilling stations will be set up in the assembly area and sections of the race route.
Groups will be given specific cluster assignments at the assembly area. Kindly alight or park near your designated clusters. Cluster marshals will be on hand to secure the clusters during the event. Participants are encouraged to wear shirts corresponding to the assigned colors of their cluster.

Each cluster can hold about 2,500 runners covering a perimeter space of 55 x 15 meters.
Segments of the Elliptical Road and Commonwealth will be closed to traffic during the event. At least two (2) lanes on both sides of the Elliptical Road and Commonwealth are open to motorists while the remaining lanes are reserved for Run for the Pasig River participants. Participants are strongly advised to stay in the inner lanes of the affected road segments.

Participants can park their vehicles in selected parking areas located around the assembly area. Government offices along Elliptical Road have offered to accommodate vehicles on 6 October 2013, from 3AM to 11AM only. To minimize congestion in the event area, participants are encouraged to take public transport going to the assembly areas. The outer two lanes will remain open to buses and other public transport vehicles.

The Run for the Pasig River is organized by ABS-CBN Foundation to promote awareness and generate funds for Kapit Bisig Para Sa Ilog Pasig, a multi-sectoral project working on the rehabilitation of the Pasig River and its tributaries.
Now on its fifth year, the annual event helped raise PHP 25.94 million, which was used in the rehabilitation of Estero de Paco, River Warriors leadership training and community-based information campaigns. Through the Run for the Pasig River, the ABS-CBN Foundation was able to gather public support for Pasig River, mobilizing thousands of participants from schools, businesses and families.
In 2010, the 10.10.10 Run for the Pasig River recorded 116,086 participants, breaking the Guinness World Record for the most number of participants in a running event.
Meanwhile, the 2011 and 2012 editions of the Run for the Pasig River gathered over 86,000 and 70,000 participants respectively.
