Mizuno Wave Rider 19 Launch and Test Run

Mizuno brand has been working tirelessly for over a hundred years to becoming an international multisport brand known to showcase not only golf or baseball gears but also running accessories.

This year, Mizuno science focuses on  how to help better your best by introducing the Mizuno wave tester, which allows a runner to test the difference between shoe cushioning of a regular shoe foam and Mizuno wave plate.

The wave plate technology makes the run stable and disperses impact forces away from the feet instead of absorbing it.  Wave Rider 19 is light and firm with improved softness. This helps prevent injury.  Consistent and stable cushioning may mean running even for longer distances.

During the test run conducted two weeks ago around Bonifacio High Street area, invited participants were asked to share their impression of the shoe.  Some answered improved midsole cushioning, snug fit in the toe box, fit for wide feet, and nice color.

Tested it again for another five-kilometer run during my workout earlier today and found the shoe responsive especially in the midsole area. Best if worn with socks. I just noticed a squeaking sound every time my feet hit the ground though.  There must be something going on with my running form.  Overall, it was a comfortable ride on every stride and perfect for my wide feet.
