Zonta International is a global organization of executives and professionals working together to advance the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy.

One of the projects launched is the Run Against Trafficking (RAT) race which aims to raise awareness about human trafficking in the Philippines. RAT is also a fundraising activity which will benefit both the Visayan Forum Foundation, Inc. and Zonta Makati Ayala.

Human trafficking* is modern day slavery. Traffickers prey on the weak and the poor, luring them with false promises. It affects over 12 million adults and children where mostly ended up in inhumane conditions. (International Labor Organization, Forced Labour Fact Sheet, 2007)
