This coming February 2017, experience Sabor Latino 100% for the very first time in Manila, Philippines!
Asia’s most exciting music festival and ultimate 5K run drew nearly ten thousand runners when it first made waves in the Philippines last year [at the Philippine Arena]!
This year, The Music Run™ (TMR™) by Philam Vitality in partnership with music streaming service Spotify brings the party back to Manila with everyone’s favorite hits playing on 120 concert-quality speakers across McKinley West in Taguig City.
TMR™ event was officially launched last week at the Revel at the Palace, Uptown Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City attended by event partners, sponsors, the media, and VIP guests.
The five-kilometer run includes music-themed zones playing Rock, Pop, Old School, Hip Hop, and Dance. Using the live Spotify Music Voting App, participants can vote up to five songs per playlist every day to build the official soundtrack for each zone. The event kicks off with a prerun performance by local alternative band Sud, while the afterrun music festival features Australian radio house DJ Sam Withers.
Music Runners™ can select from two event packs: Standard Pack (P850) which comes with a T-shirt, bag, beat band, sticker, and temporary tattoo; the Rock Star Pack (P1400) which comes with a towel, water bottle, and a cap.
Late registration for TMR™ starts on November 1. Standard and Rock Star Packs for late registrants are priced at P950 and P1600 respectively. For last call registrations starting on November 21, the Standard and Rock Star Packs will cost P1050 and P1800 respectively. Last call for registration is on November 25. Children less than five years old can join the run for FREE! Registrants can collect their event packs at Glorietta 5 in Makati on November 26-28.
Philam Life has been at the forefront of leading innovations in the life insurance industry to change the general perception about insurance. Insurance is about living life to the fullest without worry and being healthy to pursue one’s passion and goals.
“This is the second time that Philam Life is partnering with TMR™. We want to send a strong message that being healthy can also be fun and engaging,” said Philam Vitality deputy head Kats Cajucom. “One of our company’s main thrusts is healthy living through our Philam Vitality program, which is the first of its kind in the Philippines. It is a full-scale wellness program where members get rewarded for making healthy choices. Through Philam Vitality, we are taking active steps to positively transform the lives of Filipinos by helping them live longer, healthier, and [have] better lives,” Cajucom added.
“While most fun runs originate from the US, TMR™started in Asia and expanded throughout the region before crossing over to Europe and the US in the last two years,” said co-founder and chief executive officer of Exceed Sports and Entertainment Martin Capstick, co-founder and chief executive officer of Exceed Sports and Entertainment who is organizing the run. “The reason for its massive success is its winning formula that combines music with the ever-growing fitness craze into the ultimate running and music festival that also puts control of the run’s soundtrack in the hands of our Music Runners™,” he added.
TMR™ first took place in Kuala Lumpur in 2014. Since then, it has drawn more than 100,000 runners across twelve events and nine countries. For more information on TMR™, visit its official website, Facebook Page, or YouTube Channel.
About The Music Run™
Launched in 2014, TMR™ is the ultimate 5K running and music festival. For music lovers, casual runners, and fun seekers, TMR™ is more like a party than a run. It is the only five-kilometer fun run that puts music at the heart. TMR™ empowers participants to control the soundtrack of the run by voting for their favorite songs in the build up to the event. Voting is via a bespoke ‘Music Voting App’ and the songs with the most votes make the official run playlist. On event day, runners experience the world’s loudest 5K running course, known as ‘The Sound Track’. Over 120 speakers pump out the songs participants voted for across five interactive and music themed zones. The run ends with the ultimate after-run music festival. With music every step of the way, running never sounds so good. 2016 will see further global expansion of TMR™ with additional events across Asia and inaugural events planned in North America and Africa.

Actress, singer, TV host, model, painter, make-up artist, fashion designer, and all-around fitspiration Solenn Heussaff has made it her mission to help you achieve your best body—and have a blast while you’re at it.
Out now from Summit Books is Hot Sos, a fun fitness book where Solenn—whose nickname is “Sos”—guides readers in their journey to getting in shape, eating right, and most importantly, loving their bodies.
Solenn’s personal journey to health and fitness is an inspiring one. She makes no secret that she was a hefty child, who was called “Free Willy” by her peers, up until her teen years. Even as an adult, her eating habits were indulgent, and her exercise regimen entailed hitting up clubs and spending the next day in bed. Her less-than-healthy past is what makes her a truly believable role model for those hoping to turn over a new leaf fitness-wise—if Solenn can do it, so can you!
“Even after sticking to a healthy lifestyle for a while now, it’s still an everyday struggle for me,” Solenn admits in Hot Sos. “To be honest, the only thing that keeps me going is my goal. I don’t work out to become skinny; I do it to be healthy.
In Hot Sos, Solenn shares lessons and techniques that have helped her get the hot body and health-oriented mindset she has enjoyed since her fitness awakening. Hot Sos contains workouts that can be done solo or with friends, indoors or outdoors. Also inside are Solenn’s own recipes for healthy and nutritious meals including some helpful tips. Hot Sos is out now in bookstores, newsstands, supermarkets, and convenience stores nationwide for P295.
