More than 6,000 runners registered in last year’s inaugural Gatorade Run, which featured aid stations with pre-race hydration drinks, post-run hydration test area, and a warm-up area. Gatorade brand ambassadors Jeron Teng, Jaja Santiago, Chris Banchero, Jett Manuel, and Ara Galang were among those who showed up to support the runners.
On its second year, Gatorade Run will again hit the road promising more exciting pre-run and post-run hydrations. “Gatorade is a global leader in sports performance and we’ll definitely bring that expertise to the run. Learning the benefits of proper hydration is crucial for runners and we look forward to reinforcing that message through the Gatorade Run. Gatorade sports drink fuels runners especially during the one-kilometer of extra running to let them finish strong.
In partnership with Runrio, Gatorade Run 2016 will be held on 27 Nov. 2016 at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City with two race distances: 11K and 22K. Log on to Runrio to register and for updates.

Twenty-three years ago, Gatorade launched the Be Like Mike campaign in honor of one of the great athletes, Michael Jordan, whose name is associated with basketball and the jersey number “23”. Gatorade cemented Jordan’s niche as a sports legend when the campaign became a hit in 1992.
